Hi, I'm Spencer Jaye.I created Musician to Producer to help musicians approach production in a more practical and approachable way.
There's a big difference between understanding music and knowing how to translate that understanding into a DAW. My approach is to break the process down, focus on what matters at your stage and help you understand not just what to do, but why you're doing it.

Q: Do I need to be an experienced musician?
A: No. A background in an instrument or music theory can be helpful, but we’ll work from your current level and build from there.
Q: Will I finish a track in six weeks?
A: We’ll work towards completing a track that reflects your goals and starting point. Your progress will depend on your experience, the project you choose and the time you put into practising.
Q: Do I need to own a particular DAW?
A: No. Tell me which DAW you use when you apply, and we can discuss whether it’s suitable for your goals.
Q: How much time should I set aside each week?
A: Ideally, allow some time between sessions to practise and apply what we cover. We’ll discuss a realistic commitment based on your schedule.
